How to De-Badge Your Subaru

Warning!

Don't remove the Wilderness badges on the front doors unless you're ready for the hole.

What do I need to remove the sticker?

You will need some plastic razor blades for scraping and some  Goo Gone. You will also need some paper towels and/or microfiber cloths. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Using the links above is a great way to support my channel. The cost is the same for you, but Amazon gives me a small cut of their profits as a referral reward. Use the links to stick it to Jeff Bezos, haha.

What is the process?

First, you should do this on a warm/hot day in direct sunlight. The heat will help soften the adhesive, and the direct light will help you see the adhesive residue. Start by placing a paper towel under edge of the hatch. Spray the lettering with Goo Gone. Let it soak for 30 minutes. It will not damage the paint or clear coat. Use a scraping tool to remove the plastic letters. Apply more Goo Gone and let it soak for 15 minutes. Use the scraper to remove the adhesive. Clean the area with Windex, then apply car wax or another protecting car product.
