Sleep Setup

We like tent camping when we know that we are going to have a stable base camp. We use a Gazelle T4 and we love it! The quick setup and vertical walls make is like a little, instant house. The only thing is that the tent is still very long when it is packed away. We have to lay one of the back seats down to accommodate it.

This is our preferred way to sleep because of the long list of unique advantages.

- Nothing gets wet when it rains! (no need to air stuff out when we get home)

- Very quite inside! (Wind, people, animals, etc.)

- Very safe! (locked doors and alarm system)

- Heat and Air Conditioning (idle the car for 15 minutes to warm up or cool down)

This YouTube Video shows the setup. Maybe the best testament to the success of this method is that we slept in the Forster for 6 consecutive nights while visiting all 4 National Parks in Colorado.
